"Twinkie's"
Minnesota Twins Autographs

Celebrating more than 40 years of Minnesota Twins Autographs

Welcome to the autograph world of Joel "Minnesota Twinkie" Thingvall. A Twins fan since those first Topps cards (penny for a single with gum ) in 1961, my autographing began at the Twins "Welcome Home" banquets in the '60s. Trading cards were sadly set aside for a couple of decades. But then in the mid-90s, I unearthed a shoebox of 'graphs stored at my parents, and my quest renewed -- from the stands, after games at hotels and parking lots, via the mails, and at any number of Twins events. You can see many examples of cards of Twins in different uniforms (not all Twins have team issued cards).

Have fun looking at the signatures of ALL Twins players. I hope this also serves as a signature guide, too, for fellow autograph collectors. I want to thank TwinsCards for this opportunity to share my personal collection (look for this collection, also, in the ROSTERS section as the "Minnesota Twins Year-By-Year: A Pictorial Look at the Minnesota Twins from an Autographer's Perspective") .

After completing my quest to get every Minnesota Twin autograph -- yes, it's nigh impossible to get them all on cards...so there are a few on 3x5s or a ball or a fantasy item -- I expanded my collection horizons to search out those players who were members in any minor way of the Twins organization and had major league experience. I also started to actively seek autographs of AAA and AA players (a daunting task -- how to get in touch with those names from the past).  The results of this continuing quest can be seen here. I'm still searching for autographs of former Twins minor league players who never made it to "the Show."

This is truly a personal collection of memories of Minnesota Twins players and the games they played. And you'll still find me standing in lines (like at the recent Twinsfest) ready to meet players both young and old -- as well as striking up conversation with fellow collectors adding to their dreams! Always the Twins fan!

And I'm always eager to answer your questions about collecting. If you have questions about autographing, please feel free to join the TwinsCards.com Autograph Forum. I post my monthly thru-the-mail results there, and love to share autographing stories! Or drop me a note at rosters@twinscards.com and share your comments or questions about the site and autographing.
Enjoy...and GO TWINS!                     -- Joel "Minnesota Twinkie" Thingvall
